Tori Lunden ( Yoga Instructor) – Her View, Her World, Her Yoga – The World of Health in Edmonton

Edmonton’s Own Tori Lunden’s classes are a light-hearted and eclectic environment. She delights in teaching people who, like her, never thought yoga was something they could do or enjoy. Tori initially tried to yoga to help recover from rugby injuries, but was hooked by the quiet and nurturing nature of the practice. Over a decade later, her knees and back have healed and she has an appreciation for both her body and her life that she never thought possible. Tori’s had the good fortune of learning from a variety of teachers around the world. She completed her first teacher training in 2008 through the World Conscious Yoga Family in Rishikesh, India. She has since completed trainings through Yogaworks, Core Strength Vinyasa Yoga, and yin training with Paul Grilley.

Weekly Public Classes: Tuesday Shanti Yoga Studio 5:30-7pm Hatha Flow Wednesday Avonmore Community League 6:30-8pm Hatha Thursday Alberta Art Gallery (sept-oct) 5:10-6pm Shanti Yoga Studio 7:30-9pm Yin Yoga Sunday Shanti Yoga Studio 1:30-3pm Hatha Shanti Yoga Studio 3:30-5pm Yin Yoga The styles I teach and their benefits: Hatha/ Hatha Flow Hatha yoga is a blanket term for all styles of yoga. The hatha classes I teach combine movements designed to release tension and strengthen the whole body with a strong focus on breath awareness.

The goal in any class I teach is to increase awareness and appreciation of our bodies. There are thousands of yoga postures and even more opinions on how to practice these postures correctly. It is my responsibility as a teacher to help students navigate this often confusing terrain to discover what works best for their individual needs. Discover your own unique alignment and fluidity of movement through these energizing, effective, and fun classes. Yin My yin yoga classes combine personalized instruction on each body’s unique needs with mindfully moving into long holds in supported postures. Through this practice you will begin to undo chronic tension and unhealthy movement patterns in your hips and spine by releasing the deep connective tissue that causes stiffness and discomfort.
